Children at Colony Middle School in Palmer, AK taunt a moose to death. Literally.
What is the right course of action here? My gut always tends towards ol' Hammurabi. Taunt and so be taunted. 'Release the names and let the people scorn' seems somewhat fitting, no?
Is that healthy, though? Won't that only solidify sociopathic tendencies in an extremely impressionable mind through shame and isolation? Probably.
I sure would hate to see the little fuckers squeak away without fair recompense, though.

On a completely different note:
A fella that once sent me a CDR of his band covering the entirety of one of my all-time favorite records recently let The David Foster Wallace Audio Project loose upon the internets. You should check it out.

From the DC website:
"And speaking of neat, the opposite of that is embodied in the hulking, unkempt form of our very-own world conqueror, Sir Richard Bishop! Pure fascination has driven him from here to darkest Asia and points in between enough times as would take to encircle the globe from pole to pole with ¼” recording tape. He can’t help it — the sound made when indigenous creatures pick up their funky little instruments of choice motivates the man, calling him to pick up his own mighty axe and master their sounds, incorporating their culture into his! After years of such triumphant exploration, Sir Rick found himself unusually empty one afternoon at his estate in the Northwestern woods. Where to go, what to do? Could it be that he finally wanted to go…home? Mmmm…could be! Therein, of course, lay the problem. Sir Richard Bishop is a bi-country bastard to begin with, which might explain at least half of the madness. Anyhoo, this crisis clearly required a return to his Lebanese side of his roots. Tossing aside his beloved acoustic guitar, which he’d grown so sick of lately anyway, he picked up an electric and assembled a band to take the middle-eastern sounds that had so entranced him all his life to a new level of madness and mastery. The tapes that resulted were delivered to our doorstep, all sweated on and stained with olive juice and Arak and with a single phrase scrawled on top of the box: “The Freak of Araby.” It is under this title that we shall release to you the latest musical excursion of Sir Richard Bishop on the 26th of May, 2009:
You can stream some tracks over at the new Sir Richard Bishop & His Freak of Araby Ensemble Myspace Page.
Check out a recent SRB interview at FACT Magazine.

Michele Bachman is balls out crazy:
I'm still in awe that someone actually lost a race to this nutbag!
I can only imagine what her constituency is like. Horny white guys with fat dairy-fed wives that elected her cause they want to fuck her would be my first guess.
Unfortunately, we here in AK have to live with a very similiar situation and constituency.

It wasn't that long ago that Palin was calling for Uncle Ted to resign.
Shannyn Moore lays things bare in a great piece over at the Huffington Post.
UPDATE: It's just gets better and better up here. Young wants Stevens to run against Palin for Gov.
